Delta 8 is the rarest mutation of the THC family. It was created in an experiment to improve the two most common variations, Delta 6 and Delta 9. The experiment created a new strain with many useful properties for relaxation, creativity, and study.
Before we take a look at its effects in more detail, it’s worth noting what makes Delta 8 so special:
-Delta 8 derives from pure indica plants that have been bred for their high CBD content; this means that it is non-psychoactive like CBD oils or tinctures are.
-Delta 8 is present in very low concentrations in most varieties of cannabis and is not by itself considered a helpful product.
-Delta 8 strains have been tested to have the same effects as CBD oils without the psychoactive effects.
Effectively, this means that Elevate Delta 8 represents an almost total absence of THC’s signature effects: euphoria and memory impairment. The high doses of CBD found in Delta 8 plants ensure that relaxation and calm prevail with none of the anxiety normally associated with THC.
Delta 8 has been used by numerous medical patients to treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, and nausea caused by chemotherapy. In addition, Delta 8 can also treat other ailments: pain, nerve damage, inflammation, and respiratory problems.
Delta 8 has been tested to have the same functional effects as CBD oils and tinctures. In clinical trials conducted by GW Pharmaceuticals on children with severe epilepsy suffering from Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), which is characterized by near-daily seizures and cognitive impairment. Thanks to Delta 8’s non-psychoactive properties, nearly all children who received the treatment saw a reduced seizure frequency of at least 50% after 10 weeks.
A similar trial using high-CBD cannabis oil to treat pediatric patients with LGS also saw significant seizure reduction based on the 10% dropout rate. It’s also worth noting that this trial concluded with strong support for the potential of high-CBD, low-THC medical cannabis products in treating this condition.
It has been hypothesized that the genetics of Delta 8 are similar to those of CBD, allowing it to bind itself and work with cannabinoid receptors without producing THC’s psychoactive effects. This is a theory that remains to be tested.
When you are looking for pure relaxation and tranquility, Delta 8 is a great choice. Numerous medical patients have used this strain to treat anxiety, depression, and PTSD, as well as nausea caused by chemotherapy. In addition, Delta 8 can also treat other ailments: pain, nerve damage, inflammation, and respiratory problems.
The effects of Delta 8 are clear: it’s highly relaxing and can help you relax in the most extreme cases. You’ll have to experiment with the dosage, however: some users have reported feeling a little buzzed after ingesting it (like they would after consuming too much alcohol), while others found that they felt nothing at all (it’s normal).
